Five Facts About Me (Editing Example)
Year: February 2013
Editing Program: Sony Vegas Pro
Made Using: Sims 2
Back in the day, I used to create videos using the computer game, Sims 2 (definitely foreshadowing my work in film and broadcasting/digital media). When you don’t have access to a whole set of cast and crew to create your stories, you result to the next best thing! Here is an example of a video I made that was an introduction about myself.
Back then I didn’t realize it, but this video is another example of my use of the rhythmic montage video editing technique to music.
LAX Senior Night Half Time Video (Sports Video Example)
Year: May 2014
Editing Program: Final Cut Pro
Camera: Sony FDR-AX1 4K Camcorder
An example of some of my action cinematography and video editing that I did in high school for the girls’ lacrosse team’s Senior Day highlight of the seniors and their season. I traveled with the team to most of their games for the whole season and the goal of the video was to focus on the players, their team-building, and experiences rather than the overall sport itself.
This was created the year before I went to the University of Oklahoma and started studying Creative Media Productions + Film & Media Studies and began my time as a Production Assistant for OU’s sports broadcasting, SoonerVision. Those next five years, I improved upon these skills way more using professional equipment and gaining knowledge from experts.
Rhythmic Montage Project (Editing Example)

Vlog as Glimmer From The Hunger Games (Improv Satire Acting Example)
Year: December 2011
I actually just used the Mac Photo Booth to film this improv that I did as an exaggerated impression of the character Glimmer from The Hunger Games for fun. The video currently has over 5,900 views on YouTube.
A glimpse at who I am:
I worked at SoonerVision, the sports broadcasting for the University of Oklahoma via Fox Sports Southwest & Oklahoma (+ visiting networks such as ESPN) for five years and loved every minute of it:

I studied Creative Media Productions with a focus in broadcasting while minoring in Film & Media Studies and Women’s & Gender Studies at the University of Oklahoma. This “self-interview” was filmed after foreign war correspondent, Mike Boettcher, spoke to our class in 2015 about his career and experiences:
I believe survivors and the importance of them feeling safe to speak out and seek justice. In April 2018, I had the honor of being one of the students chosen by OU’s Women’s and Gender Studies Department to speak with the honoree alum for the WGS Board of Advocates Voices for Change Gala, actress and activist Olivia Munn, about her part in leading the #MeToo Movement. We also had an enlightening talk about what all we can do to help the issues going on in our country and the entertainment industry (#MeToo and beyond).
Fun Fact: Our accidental matching is not the only thing Olivia and I have in common! She also got her start with Fox Sports after studying at OU’s Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication, plus she too is a Cancer (her birthday is July 3rd, two days after mine).
